What are the common infrastructure upgrades, and how does that relate to dashboards and metrics?
Most initial engagements are in the form of a study or infrastructure upgrade. These early services may be the result of needing specialists or additional labor for the installation of routers, firewalls, CRM, HCM, HRIS, or other software systems. Dashboards increase the usability and efficiency of these tools.
To take this a step further, we add a middleware to interconnect systems, allowing automated interconnection of data. The metrics can then be correlated and displayed on dashboards providing a more significant and relevant information. This data can be relayed to automatic switches, scripts, processes, or AI to completely automate a process.
How does Setag approach a custom AI solution?
Starting with a clear understanding of the desired expectations, we look at the feasibility by researching the available data. Assembling a solid team, a small low-risk pilot is built and tested. Organizations that have documented processes and clean, standardized, valid datasets are far more likely to have successful implementations.
How can these tools eliminate research bias in a study?
The famous Hawthorne experiments on lighting were tainted by the presence of the researchers clad in lab coats with clipboards. With modern sensors and controls we can eliminate testing bias. For example, trying to increase social interaction with background music and lighting. After automating both, and installing sociometers to track social interaction patterns. The real-time analysis can test patterns while the sensors examine factors like gender, talkativeness, and interaction style in different contexts. All performed in the background, thus eliminating the Hawthorne effect from the experiment.
When do you know an organization is aligned?
A small example is coffee shop that has successfully aligned its values, mission, and strategy. The owner, rarely visits these days, but the company culture remains strong. It fosters a culture that is so rich and rewarding that employees often continue to work there part-time long after their career elsewhere is paying them much more. The comradery and relationships with customers is so strong that they don’t really want to leave.
How is AI incorporated into an process?
Using process driven AI, we can automate processes completely. Off-the-shelf products exist for many of the common customer service, sales, product support, and IT ticketing. Using text or speech recognition the AI interfaces with the customer or employee. The AI can reply in the form of audio or text suggestions, log and escalate for resolution, or even run an inquiry to additional monitoring variables to calculate or correlate the data. This can also be used with collaborative work or project management, the administration can be automated to move projects along, send out updates, and keep staff and stakeholders updated.

What are some examples of a needs assessment?
An infrastructure focused needs assessment is a structured process to identify gaps and areas for improvement within an organization’s technology infrastructure. It involves evaluating current systems, identifying weaknesses, and determining how well the infrastructure supports business goals.
In addition to understanding the organizational goals and the existing hardware, software, networks, data centers, and cloud resources, the study is looking at the DR solutions and where IT labor is being allocated. A review of help desk data can gain insights into uptime problems, product inadequacy, and end user training issues.
What are the benefits of a process study?
Quantifying the cost benefits of a process study depends on many variables. Tangible benefits typically include cost savings, increased efficiency, and improved quality. The intangible benefits can include improved employee morale, enhanced customer satisfaction, or a more streamlined workflow.
A process study often provides key insight into the organization used for further initiatives and projects. The information can be used to determine redundancies, weak points, and areas that can be further developed. Possible data points for measurement are identified for more efficient metrics and analytics.
How do workplace management structures relate to structure or supervision?
Management structures, such as hierarchical, functional, matrix, or flat are often associated with an industry despite the organization’s structure. Some companies maintain a single workplace management structure across the entire organization. This may be counter to the autonomous requirements of the work, and hamper the creativity and emotion required to complete the work. Changes to the market, technologies, or processes can require a temporary change to management structure. The best example is a new employee who may require a detailed onboarding process, more supervision, or a clearly defined set of steps for the various tasks within the job function. It may be that a new technology has completely altered the supervision or structure requirement. For example, robotics has reduced the direct supervision requirement on assembly lines. Structure changes in the form of methodologies, workflows, or organizational design, may flourish under a change in management structure. The recent “great reshuffle” workforce changes have introduced complications for companies who have transitioned a department towards less structure or supervision, sometimes leaving employees feeling a lack of direction and or disconnected. Often organizations move to a hybrid management structure combining aspects of different traditional organizational structures, such as functional, divisional, or matrix structures, to leverage their strengths while minimizing weaknesses. This approach offers flexibility and adaptability, allowing organizations to tailor their structure to specific needs and circumstances.
